After the "short" hard training for the Penang Brigde Run I didnt get a fucking medal. My leg were killing me at the starting of the race.I did eat a packet of power gel for free it's not a tasty thing I would say.I was confidient to get that medal because I reach the other side of the bridge at 6:30am but somehow getting back to the Island took me longer that getting to the mainland because I was walking all the way.I reached the finished line at 8:50am...hmm. better luck next time.

SirensSound comment about Coma

There are just too many bands that goes by the name of "Coma" I tried to google for more info on them but to an endless depth and no avail. So... not only I'm "terribly sorry" for the lack of info on this one but I also have to say the rip is at 128kbps.

However the reason this is up here is clearly to my understanding "Coma" is a a band that will be "Loved", "Adore" and "Praise" by the majority who comes around. The opening of this "Unlease ep" as far as I know. is just under 05:00mins and hell they got my attention so deep that I can't stop play this over and over.

Deadly hurricane lashes Texas

During the brief calm of the storm, as the eye passed overhead, staff rounded up guests and herded them to a neighbouring hotel, where they slept in corridors, and on sunloungers and sofas, with their babies, young children, dogs, and cats in baskets.
Among them was Mona Garza, 57, and her family, who left Galveston at 11am Friday when water began rushing into the streets. A mandatory evacuation order had been issued by the mayor of Galveston the day earlier.
"We had planned on staying. We were born and raised on the island - we were there for Hurricane Carla in 1961, that was a lot bigger than this, and we thought we'd be OK. But then we realised the water was coming over the seawall Friday morning and it hadn't even started raining yet.
"I worry for people down there now. It's not easy to take a decision to leave everything you own and I guess that's the bad decision a lot of people made. But a lot of people were also reluctant to go because of what happened in the last evacuation for Hurricane Rita in 2005.
"We were on the road, stuck in traffic, for 38 hours trying to get to Fort Worth. There were cars everywhere, nothing was moving, everyone was running out of gas - that's why people didn't want to move again this time. But God bless them now," she said.
Nia Singleton, 32, left her house in Galveston Friday afternoon and holed up in the Hampton Inn at Texas City, where the roof crashed to the ground in the early hours of Saturday.
"It was terrifying. The wind was just howling, howling, and the building was shaking. I don't have much with me but what I have right here is all I care about," she said, gesturing at her four-year-old son Dominic.
"I didn't leave Galveston sooner because we were just thinking about that evacuation in 2005, none of us wanted to get on the road for a four-hour evacuation trip then find it turning into 15, 20 hours of hell."

Komtar Night

George Town to have 3-day celebration (updated)
By K. KASTURI DEWI

GEORGE TOWN: Fireworks will light up the night sky at the Esplanade here on July 26 as Penangites celebrate George Town's listing as a World Heritage Site.
A three-day celebration will be held within the historical enclave of the city, with cultural shows, free trishaw rides and clan jetties' visits for tourists, flower mural painting and tree planting to commemorate the occasion.
Penang Municipal Council president Datuk Zainal Rahim Seman said Friday the council was allocating about RM150,000 for the celebration which would start on July 25.
On July 26, the Yang di-Pertua Negri (TYT) Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas and the Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister will grace a cultural show at the Esplanade from 8.45pm to 11pm.
"There will be some fireworks display that night to commemorate the historic event and an acceptance of a declaration of George Town's listing by the TYT. The whole event will be held in a very traditional setting,'' Zainal told reporters after Friday's full council meeting.
The three-day event will kick-start with thanksgiving prayers held at various places of worship.
* Students from five inner city schools will take part in a flower mural painting on the road along Jalan Padang Kota Lama at about 9am on July 25
* Cultural activities will be held at the marina bay at Weld Quay on July 26. Tourists and locals will get to enjoy free rides on 50 trishaws and visit the homes at the seven clan jetties to experience for themselves the living heritage of the city from 9am on July 26.
From 6pm to 9pm, tourists will get a chance to enjoy cultural programmes held at the various heritage buildings such as the Khoo Kongsi and the Cheong Fatt Tze mansion.
* On the final day, another cultural show featuring ghazal and dondang sayang performances will be held at the Upper Penang Road flea market from 10am to 6pm.
Zainal said in view of George Town's listing, the council faced more issues and challenges.
"Our main priority now is to keep the town clean and for this, we would need the co-operation of the people,'' he said.
He added that the council would have to ensure a comprehensive and proper traffic system to ensure tourists would be able to move around the heritage enclave without any hindrance.
"Council officers would be going around the heritage trails to ensure that any barriers which obstruct pedestrians or hinder the smooth flow of traffic would be removed,'' he said.
He added that the council would also be trying its "very best'' to track down owners of dilapidated buildings in the inner city so that they could improve the image of the buildings.

How to make a peanut butter jelly sandwich

Step1 Using a knife, spread a generous layer of peanut butter on one slice of bread.

Step2Clean the knife with a napkin or use another knife so the peanut butter and jelly don't mix in their containers.

Step3 Spread jelly or jam on the other slice of bread. Use slightly less jelly than peanut butter.

Step4 Put the two pieces of bread together with the peanut butter and jelly sides facing one another. Cut the sandwich in half for easier eating.

  • Tips & Warnings:
If you use a "natural" peanut butter that needs to be refrigerated, let the peanut butter come to room temperature before you spread it to avoid tearing the bread.
Vary your bread choices in a PB&J. Although white is the standard, try wheat varieties, sourdough, or even rye. And thicker breads are harder to tear when you spread the peanut butter on them.
Vary your jelly or jam choices. Although many choose "purple" and "red" jams for peanut butter (grape, strawberry, raspberry, boysenberry), some people swear by "orange" jams (apricot, peach).
Instead of jam or jelly, use sliced banana, honey, raisins, dried or fresh apple slices, unsweetened flaked coconut, bacon (yes, bacon) or any combination of the above.
Although it's high in protein, peanut butter is, sadly, fattening as all get out.

This instrumental band was formed in February of 2000 in Tokyo, Japan. Since then, MONO has quickly piqued interests in both audience and critics alike by staging overwhelming, emotionally splendid, atmospheric performances. In September of 2000, Mono released a 4-song EP called Hey, You. EP, released on Forty-4 Records. In December of 2001, the band had their long-awaited worldwide album debut Under the Pipal Tree released under John Zorn’s TZADIK label.

In March of 2002, MONO embarked on their fourth tour of the US and shared the stage with Jim O’Rourke at Tonic in NYC. They also found time to record their second full-length album entitled One Step More and You Die which was released October 2, 2002 in Japan and worldwide in ealry 2003, followed by a 30-city tour throughout Japan and the US in October and November. Kinski and Black Dice are among the bands who shared the bill with them in the US.In the fall of 2003, MONO signed a deal with one of their all-time favorite labels, TEMPORARY RESIDENCE LTD. It is MONO’s ability to combine, intertwine and swing back and forth from two such opposite extremes to create an emotional phantasmagoria that makes this band worth experiencing.

God create the world in 7 days

The Seven Days Of Creation
by Wayne Blank The Bible begins with the creation of the universe: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1 NIV). This single verse describes the actual transformation of invisible energy into all of the fundamental physical matter (as summed up in Albert Einstein's famous E=mc2 equation) that would be formed into stars, planets and everything else - including us. Scientists now estimate that the great event took place approximately 15 billion years ago.
The next verse describes the earth after its creation, long after the creation of the universe: "Now the earth was [or became] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters"

(Genesis 1:2 NIV). Scientists estimate the age of the earth to be about 5 billion years old - leaving an estimated 10 billion years between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.
There has been a tremendous amount of disagreement between science and religion, each side armed with its own obvious facts to refute the other. People of science and religion need not disagree so often if they would realize that their different observations are the result of each looking only at opposite sides of the same coin. The contradictory evidence is actually an illusion, caused by omission, which virtually guarantees that alone, either scientific theory or religious doctrine can only be half-right in their understanding of the creation of the universe or the origin of humanity. Together however, the picture is complete and harmonious.
We all realize that God was Creator, but how often do we consider what was involved in that creation? God was a chemist, a physicist, an astronomer, a biologist. He was most certainly an artist, a maker of all of our world's beauty. He was the lawmaker of all of the unseen forces that make "nature" orderly and predictable.
The universe as it exists was not produced by some cosmic accident. The conditions of creation were intricately planned and considered. A mindless uncontrolled "big bang" would result in destruction and chaos, not the life and order we now see.
On the other hand, a great initial expansion (explosion) of physical matter that had just been transformed (created) from pure energy (from a physical point of view, literally nothing), followed by orderly development (from natural laws put into force beforehand by a Creator) of stars, galaxies and everything else, is reasonable and logical. It satisfies both religion and science.
The First DayThe first recorded Words of God that we have are "Let there be light"

(Genesis 1:3 NIV). The sun was already shining brightly, but God made the earth's thick new atmosphere allow diffuse light to penetrate to the surface. And so it was that the light was made separate from darkness. The first day of earth's creation was literally the first "day" as someone on earth's surface would experience it - a period of opaque light, and a period of darkness.

(Genesis 1:3-5)
The Second DayThe separation of the waters. There was yet no liquid water, no oceans. All of the water was in the form of a vapor, a worldwide super-fog, extending a number of kilometers/miles up from the very hot (above the boiling temperature of water) bare-rock earth's surface (the earth's core remains molten right to the present day). God's "hovering over the waters" in verse 2 describes His being above that gaseous-water atmosphere, not a liquid ocean. God then caused most of the water to condense onto the cooling earth which simultaneously formed a whole-planet ocean and cleared the sky.

(Genesis 1:6-8)
The Third DayThe first appearance of dry ground. The further cooling of the surface set in motion a process of natural contraction, uplifting and motion of the crust (the process continues today, called "plate tectonics"). The earth changed from a smooth one-level molten "cue ball" to a planet with an irregular surface with ocean basins and continental landmasses. With dry ground available, the first plants were made to grow in great abundance.

(Genesis 1:9-13)
The Fourth DayWith the sky now clear, the sun, moon and stars were dependably visible. They were to "serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years." The sun marked the day (sunset to sunset), the moon the month (new moon to new moon), and the stars the seasons (constellations are seen in particular seasons e.g. "Orion" is visible in winter in the northern hemisphere, which is summer in the southern hemisphere).

(Genesis 1:14-19)
The Fifth DayGreat numbers of birds and sea creatures. God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth."

(Genesis 1:20-23)
The Sixth DayVast numbers of land animals. Man. From the man, woman (humans today are just now discovering how to genetically alter fertilized embryos, and even to create one human from the tissue of another - known as "cloning").

(Genesis 1:24-31)
The Seventh DayThe Sabbath Day. "By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on the seventh day He rested from all His work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested [or ceased] from all the work of creating that He had done." The day that is the basis for The Fourth Commandment.

(Genesis 2:2-3)
The question of whether the seven days of creation were literal days, or symbolic of stages of development is actually irrelevant to the undeniable reality that Creation happened. The observable universe, the earth beneath our feet, and every one of us exist. Who needs more proof than that?
